The challenge

  • 5 stepsFrom first call to final walkthrough
  • 4 fieldsTo request an estimate
  • 3Sample price ranges shown before anyone calls

Ridgeline Remodeling is a fictional kitchen, bath and addition remodeler serving Wesley Chapel, New Tampa, Lutz, Land O' Lakes, Zephyrhills and North Tampa in Florida.

A remodel isn't an emergency. Homeowners plan for weeks and compare two or three builders before they let anyone into the house. They want answers to the same questions: roughly what it will cost, how long it takes, what happens at each step, and whether the builder is licensed and insured.

The goal was a site that answers those questions up front, so the people who reach out already trust the process and know their budget fits.

Our approach

  1. Ridgeline pricing on a phone: sample price ranges and timelines for kitchens, baths and additions

    Prices up front

A "What it costs" section shows a typical range and timeline for a full kitchen, a full bathroom and an addition, each marked as a sample. Below it, plain answers explain what moves the price, like moving plumbing, cabinet type or permits.

  2. Ridgeline's five-step process on desktop, from the first call to the final walkthrough

    A clear five-step process

From the first call to the final walkthrough, each step says what happens and roughly how long it takes, so nothing about the job feels like a black box.

  3. Ridgeline home page on a phone: headline, estimate and call buttons, and sample license and rating details

Trust details on the first screen

License, insurance, years in business and rating sit right under the headline, next to the call and estimate buttons. In this concept they are labeled samples, the reviews are marked as samples, and the project photos are labeled as licensed stock, not Ridgeline jobs.

  4. Ridgeline estimate form on a phone: name, phone, project type and ZIP code

    A short estimate form

Four fields to start: name, phone, project type and ZIP code. Budget, timing, notes and photos are optional extras. On a phone, call and estimate buttons stay at the bottom of the screen.

What we built

The concept site has a home page, separate pages for kitchens, bathrooms and additions, and an estimate page. Every phone number, license number, price range, timeline and review on it is a labeled sample, and the photos are licensed stock.

We tested the home page the way a customer would see it: on a simulated mid-range phone with a slow connection, using Google's PageSpeed Insights. Speed scored 89, with the main content showing after about 2.9 seconds. Accessibility scored 99, and search basics and best practices both scored 100.
